Alba to Host ARABAL 2014 in Bahrain

Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) will host the 18th International Arab Aluminium (Arabal) Conference in November 2014, under the theme “GCC: An Aluminium Power House.” This is the fourth time Arabal will be hosted in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This year, the event is expected to attract more than 700 delegates including key decision makers and industry leaders from all sectors of the aluminum industry in the region and across the world.

In a statement, a meeting held by the Arabal organizing committee on April 22, 2014, Tim Murray, Alba’s ceo, said, “As one of the major aluminum smelters in the Gulf region and the Middle East, Alba is proud to host Arabal, an event of international prominence for the aluminum industry. The event is also a testimony to the cooperation shared between the region’s primary aluminum producers, thus emphasizing our support for the sector.”

Arabal is the premium trade event for the Middle East’s aluminum industry and the only conference in the world attended by every single primary aluminum manufacturer in the region. Therefore, it is the conference of choice for anyone interested in the Gulf aluminum industry.

The conference first began in 1983 with Kuwait Aluminium Co. bringing together the leading figures in Middle East aluminum to strengthen ties and discuss the issues of the day in order to provide an overview about the entire aluminum industry. Over the past 29 years, it has become an event of international repute, bringing together leaders from the aluminum industry across the world to attend, speak, and exhibit, at the event.
